Services for Mrs. Shelley Mae Nelson, 77, of Columbia will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church 505 S. Church Street Swansea, South Carolina. with burial  in the Swansea Cemetery in Swansea, South Carolina. She was born the daughter of the late Nathaniel Scipio and Rudell Gandy on December 26, 1946. Mrs. Nelson was a Bus Driver for Heathwood Hall School for many years. She is survived by her loving children, daughter, Acacia Week- Nelson of Columbia, SC; sons Lenorad Tyrone (Latasha) Nelson of Hopkins, SC; Kevin (Ashely) Outlaw of Columbia, SC; Marcus (Erin) Outlaw of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, William Lewis II, Mashecia Merkerson, Sameria Nelson, and Zamiah Nelson all of Columbia, SC; brothers, Jerry Scipio of Columbia, SC; Terry Scipio of Columbia, SC; sisters, Odell Richbow of Columbia, SC; Reather Henderson of Philadelphia, Pa. and Gerald Benson of Columbia, SC. and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
