Gravesides services for Mr. Sammy Hamm better known as "Frog" of Gilbert, South Carolina will be held on Monday June 14,  2021 at 1:00 pm at the Swansea Community Cemetery 617 Huckabee Mill Road Swansea, South Carolina with the viewing on Sunday from 1:00 Pm to 6:00 pm at Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. Born in Swansea, South Carolina. Born August 25, 1958 in Swansea, SouthCarolina. He was the son of the late Mrs. Earline Hampton Hamm and Mr. Sam Davis Sr. He departed this earthly life on June 08 2021 at his residence in Gilbert, South Carolina. He attended the public schools in Lexington County, and graduated from Swansea High School in class of 1979. Sammy loved Swansea and had a heart for tose within the community. He would often say "I can't stay gone to long from Swansea it hurt the ole boy". He joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Swansea, SC at an early age. He later went on to join Living Waters Christian Center of Dixiana, SC. He was a hard worker and was employed with Dixiana Steele as a welder for many years and later pursued a career in painting. Painting became his love and allowed him to travel many places. He was alson known in the community for his good old school music and western movies. Sammy was preceded in death by his sisters, Deloris Hamm Williams, Darletha Hamm Johnson his broter Leroy Hamm, Joe Davis, Theodore Davis Sr., and Sam Davis Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory, his three sisters, Bertha Hamm Felder of Cayce, SC, Ineatha (Greg) Staley of Gilbert, SC, Lanora Davis (Henry) English of Dixiana, SC, his brothers, Thomas Hamm Jr. of North, SC, Eddie (Debbie) Hamm of West Columbia, SC, eight nieces whom he adored as daughters Marjorie (Bryan) Redmond of Kinsler, SC, Jeanette (Angelo) Cokley of Cayce, SC, Joann (Cleveland) Stone of Dixiana, SC, Juanita Williams of Columbia, SC Veronica Davis of Columbia, SC Dominque Hamm of Columbia, SC, eight nephews, whom was like sons Troy Felder of Cayce, SC, Stefano Mcknight of Gaston, SC Tony Johnson of Woodford, SC, Sam Johnson of Gaston, SCTravis Hamm Bovain of Sandy Run, SC, Gregory Staley Jr of Gilbert, SC, Dan Williams Jr. of Columbia, SC, Theodore Davis Jr of Columbia, SC, one aunt Gertie Hampton Briggman of Columbia, Sc, one brother in law Wallace Johnson of Woodford, SC and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and loving relatives and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
