Graveside services for Mr. Roderick T. Perry, 53, of Cayce, South Carolina will be held on Sunday August 29, 2021 at 12:00 noon iat Memorial Gardens of Columbia 9301 Wilson Blvd. Columbia, South Carolina  with burial to follow in Memorial Gardens of Columbia, Columbia, South Carolina. There will be a viewing on Saturday from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Pearson's Funeral Home. He passed away peacefully August 19, 2021, at the Lexington Medical Center. Roderick affectionately known as "Big Rod" and the late-night DJ and truck drives "Big Cuz" attended the public schools of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He served a brief time in the United States Navy. He worked as an owner/operator truck driver and owned many trucks throughout his owner/operator career. He enjoyed traveling and spending with his family and friends. He provided late night DJ and therapy sessions as he traveled across the land. He will be missed by many who loved his magnetic personality and his colorful way of telling you what is on his mind. He was preceded in death by his mother Consevealer Perry. Godfather Gary Lee Myers, Sr. and Godbrother Gary Lee Myers, Jr.   He is survived by his children Torrian Perry and Lynisha Ross-Perry. One Great-aunt, Isola Calhoun. Godmother: Ruden Myers. Godbrohers: Mahlon Dickerson, Bruce Myers, Mike Myers, Rodney Muller and Frank West. Godsisters: Cheryl Berrien, TeVera Hamilton, and Karen Mack and a notable love: Lynn Ross. As an only child he leaves to cherish his memories a host of special cousins and friends.
