Services for Mr. Richard Roach III, 76, of West Columbia, South Carolina, will be held on Saturday, at 11:00 am at the Platt Springs Baptist Church 1351 S Pine Street  West Columbia, South Carolina with burial at the Church Cemetery 2046 Princeton Road West Columbia, South Carolina. There will be a viewing on Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 pm at the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina, and Mr. Roach will lye instate on Saturday at the Church from 10:00  to 11:00 am. Born in Columbia, SC, the son of the late Richard Roach II and Mattie Roseburg Roach on January 28, 1947. He was a member of the Platt Springs Baptist Church and a member of the Men's Choir. He was retired self employed Painter. Surviving are his sons, Sean Erin Roach, and Richard ( LaShanna) Stodghill, and one daughter, Catherine (Lewon) Thomas, and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren and one brother, Portundo Roach  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
