Memorial services for Mr. Paul Lawrence Rice, 58,  will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12;00 noon at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 1908 Wilkinson Street Cayce, South Carolina. Mr. Paul L. Rice the son of Mrs. Leola Washington Rice and the late Mr. Clithon Rice, Sr. was born January 8, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 22, 2022 at the St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York. Paul was educated in the public schools system in the State of New York. He was a member of Red Hook Gospel Assembly Church in Brooklyn. New York. Paul was affectionately known as PL (Paul Lawrence). Paul loved to make others laugh, and was a great story-teller. Paul was a fun and happy-going guy. He loved his family, and everyone who knew him loved him. Paul leaves to cherish his loving memories, one son, Davon Rice of New York, and two daughters Marie Summers of North Carolina and Kahmora Williams-Rice of New York; five brothers, Reverend Dennis Earle of South Carolina, Bishop Roskco (Diana) Motes and Klaus Rice of New York, Judge (Lori) Rice of California, Clithon (Michelle) Rice, Jr. of Georgia; one sister Angela (Wallis Sr.) Lacey of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Nijare Rice, Jeremy Bennett and Ameir Summers; a very special friend, Cheryl Bynum; 5 aunts and 2 uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
