Maurice Bookard

Graveside Service for Mr. Maurice Bookard, 62, of Blythewood, South Carolina will on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 9:00 am New Free Hope Church on 1128 Marthan Rd. Blythewood, South Carolina. Born in Richland county the son of Mrs. Annie Mae Green Bookard and the late Cornell Bookard Jr. on September 11, 1962. Maurice graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1981 and worked with Kline Iron and Steel Corporation in Columbia during his early years. He was a master auto-mechanic (a fine talent he inherited from his father), fisherman and keen huntsman-he excelled at both. He is survived by his mother, One brother, Mr. Keith Jerome Bookard one sister, Shanna C. Watson, both of Blythewood, SC, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a caregiver, Jonathan Zimmerman.
