Service for Mrs. Martha Bell Gantt - Rhodes, 84, She was affectionally known as "Puggie" of West Columbia, South Carolina will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 1:00 pm at the Cross Road World Outreach Center 2606 Emanuel Church Road West Columbia, South Carolina, burial will be at St. James Baptist Church Cemetery on Princeton Road West Columbia, South Carolina. She was born in Lexington County the daughter of the late Paul Gantt and Rebecca Campbell Gantt on September 17, 1940. There will be a viewing on Thursday from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina, and she will lie in-state at the church one hour before the service. Martha was educated in the School District of Lexington County. She attended Lakeview High School. She retired from Horseman Dolls Inc. and Skips Cleaners. She was a member of St. James Baptist Church for many years. Martha was the matriarch of her family. She was the epitome of a proverbs 31 Woman. Her children arise up, and called her blessed. Martha affectionally known as "Puggie," loved her family, church, community, and her friends. But most of all she loved God. She was dedicated and committed to attending church until she had a challenge with her health. She allowed the Lord to use her gift of giving.
