Martha Elizabeth Gridine

Services for Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Harmon Gridine, 73, of Columbia, South Carolina will be held for the family and church family only. The family appreciates your understanding and consideration at this time. Services will be held on Thursday, February 03, 2022 at 8:00 am at Calvary Holiness Church Of God 1635 Middle Street Cayce, South Carolina. Burial will be held at  Ft. Jackson National Cemetery,4170 Percival Road Columbia, South Carolina. There will be a viewing on Wednesday  from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. She was born on March 9, 1948 and was the daughter of the late Mr. Lester Harmon Sr. and Mrs. Minnie Bolton Harmon. She was employed at the Palmetto Health Richland for 25 years as a registered nurse in the operating room in 2000. She grew up in Cayce, South Carolina where she attended Calvary Holiness Church of God and served as a choir director and organist for many years. Mrs. Gridine was a cheerful giver and supported several community and church functions such as Harvest Hope and Sister Care just to name a few. She was a God-fearing woman, and she loved and served the Lord with all of her mind. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend. She is survived to cherish her memories her husband, Mr. Ernest Gridine, Jr. of the home, three daughters, Yolanda (James) Taylor of Columbia, SC,  Achsah L. Gridine of Charlotte, NC,  Marcia D. Gridine of Columbia, SC and three sisters, Vivian (Walter) Dukes, and Mary Ellen ( Robert ) Jacobs, and Claudia Mason all of Columbia, SC; brother-in-law Andrew Washington, aunt Rachel Giles and Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and friends.
