Louise Riley Bamberg

Service for Mrs. Louise Riley Bamberg, 91, of Gaston, South Carolina  will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 1:00 pm at the Piney Grove AME Church 2443 Glenn Road Gaston, South Carolina with burial to follow in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing held on Thursday from 1:00 TO 7:00 pm at the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Bamberg will lie-instate Friday at the church from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. She was born in Lexington County the daughter of the late Otis Staley, Sr. and Laura Lee Riley on March 4, 1933. Mrs. Bamberg was a long time member of the Piney Grove AME Church for many years, and a member of the Stewardess Board, Sunday School Teacher, Choir member, Pulpit Aide and the Mother of the Missionary Society. She is survived and cherish by her two sons, John (Deborah) Gleaton, of Richmond, Va., James Edward Gleaton of Columbia, SC; a grandchild, Sharon (Melvin) Washington, Hopewell, Va., three great grandchildren and one sister Sarah Anderson of Gaston, SC; one brother, Otis Staley, Jr. of Maryland; two aunts, Angeline Riley and Pearl Riley,  and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
