Funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Bonnett Kelly 66, of Columbia, South Carolina will be held on Saturday July 3, 2021 at 4:00 pm in the Pearson's Funeral Home-Chapel 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. There will be a viewing Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home. Born in Lexington County the daughter of the late Ervin Bonnett and Thelma Anderson Bonnett on December 9, 1954. She departed the earthly life on Sunday June 27, 2021. She received Christ at an early age. She has been a longtime member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Cayce, SC. She served on the Usher Board, Kitchen Ministry, and Women's Ministry Organizations until her health prevented her from participating. Mrs. Loretta Received her education from Lexington Two School District. She was employed for over 35 years at the Department of Mental Health until she retired. She enjoyed singing, cooking, and telling a good joke. She preceded in death by her sisters, Penny Bonnett and Dorothy Atkins. Her brothers, Carl Bonnett and Ervin Bonnett Jr. Her son-in-law Clarence Collins. She leaves to cherish memories Her husband Edward L. Kelly of Blythewood, SC. Her daughter Heidi Collins of Columbia, SC. Her son Edward Demetrius Kelly (Bridgett Kelly) of West Columbia, SC. Her brothers, Chris Bonnett (Betty Bonnett) and Kenny Bonnett of Cayce, SC. Her brother-in-law Ervin Atkins of Cayce, SC. Thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a special daughter Sandi Gladden of Columbia, SC; a host of aunts and uncles; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
