Larry James Burkett

Service for Mr. Larry James Burkett, 74, of Land O' Lakes, Florida. Will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 12:00 noon at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival Rd. Columbia, South Carolina, there will be a viewing on Thursday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Burkett grew up in Columbia, SC, and graduated high school from Chapin High School in Chapin, South Carolina. He retired from the United States Army after serving 20 years and he loved working on cars. Mr. Burkett  lived in Land O'Lakes, Florida until his passing. Born in Chapin, South Carolina the son of the late Ms. Jessie Burkett on July 3, 1950. Mr. Burkett was predeceased in death by his wife, Ella Marion Burkett, mother, three children Larry Videl Burkett, Charmaine Kristie Burkett, and Larry Roderick Burkett; four siblings: Mary Burkett, Bennie Edward Black, James Black, and Sandra Black. Surviving are his daughter, Tammara LaShay Alexander of Tampa, Florida;. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
