Services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Shuler 74, of 1825 St. Julian Place Columbia, SC, will be held on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 10:00 am at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church 3600 Devine Street Columbia, SC; burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery 501 Elmwood Avenue Columbia, SC; It is with great sadness that the Shuler Family announces the passing of Joyce Shuler at the age of 74. Joyce was born in Sheperdsville, KY Kentucky, married Earl Jackson (EJ) Shuler in 1963 and within a few years they settled in Columbia, SC. She was a devoted wife and mother, a parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a graduate of the University of South Carolina Nursing School. Nursing was a calling that had come later in life and gave her the opportunity to care for others. Something she had done all of her life. Joyce is survived by her husband of 56 years. her sons Wayne Shuler (Carla) and Chris Shuler, her grandchildren Cara Shuler, Laura Shuler, Samantha Shuler and Jack Shuler and her siblings Donny, Gary, Tom, June , Jill. She was preceded by her father Jewell, her mother Dorothy her sister Linda and her brother Ronnie.
