Service for Mrs. Jessie Bibbs Gadson, 91, of Cayce, South Carolina will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church 1908 Wilkinson Street Cayce, South Carolina , with burial in the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, on Old Dunbar Road. There will be a viewing held on Friday from 12:00 to 7:00 pm at the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Gadson will lye in-state on Saturday at the Church from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm. Born in Lexington County the daughter of the late Calvin Bibbs and Lillian Smith on April 17, 1933. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church for many years. she was employed at Lexington Medical Center for many years. Surviving are her loving children, sons, Leroy( Frances) Gadson Columbia, SC; Anthony Gadson Cayce, SC; Michael Earvin of Columbia, SC; Joseph Madrell (Melody) White of Augusta, Ga. daughters, Elaine G. (Gerald) Johnson of Swansea, SC; Alfreda ( Charles ) Dunlap of Lexington, SC; Veronica (Ronald) Riley of Lexington, SC; and 33, grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren, and six sisters, Alberta Patrick of Buffalo, NY; Carolyn Pratt of Buffalo, NY; Annie Ruth Stukes of Phoenix, Arizona, Barbara Kennedy of Niagara Falls, NY; Marilyn Bibbs of Niagara Falls, NY; Betty Bibbs of Niagara Falls, NY; two daughter in-laws Mary Gadson of Killeen, Texas; Wakita Gadson of Cayce, SC; and sister in-law Emily ( Willie) Sutton of Columbia, SC. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
