James Harvey Smith, Jr.

Services for Mr. James Harvey Smith 70, of Columbia, SC; will be held on Friday, 12:00 noon November 27, 2020 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival Road Columbia, SC, he was born in Middletown, Ohio the son of the late James Harvey Smith Sr. and Ina Mae Quinn on June 24, 1950. He was retired from the United States Army. He was predeceased by his first wife, Carmen C. Smith. Surviving are his wife, Catherine Smith of Sumter, SC; and two daughters, LaShon Smith of of Milwaukee, WI; and Minnina Smith of Columbia, SC; two sons James H. Smith III of Milwaukee, WI; and Leonard Smith of Columbia, SC; a step daughter, Diane Merchant of Sumter, SC; and six grandchildren and four brothers,  Johnnie (Lorraine) Smith, Robert (Stephanie) Smith, Al Smith and Dewayne Smith, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
