James Robert Jacobs, Sr.

Elder James Robert (Bobby) Jacobs, Sr. 85, of 439 Dakota St Columbia, South Carolina. Service will be held on Monday, 12:00 noon  July, 17, 2023 at the Faith Tabernacle Way Of The Cross Church Of Christ on 1630 Heyward Brockington Road Columbia, South Carolina with burial in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing on Sunday, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm at Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina, Elder Jacobs will lie instate one hour before services. Born in Richland County the son of the late Page Jacobs and Birdie Mae Bookert Jacobs. Elder Jacobs was a member and a Elder of the Faith Tabernacle Way Of The Cross Church of Christ, and taught Sunday School. He worked in the  maintenance department for the Finlay House. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Mary Ellen Jacobs of the home, and his sons, James Robert Jacobs, Jr. of Columbia, SC, and Pastor Micheal Jacobs, (Sybrena) of Columbia, SC, and U.S.M.C. retired Aaron Alphonso Jacobs, (Air Force retired Marva) of Atlanta, Ga. and Navy retired Andre' Marvin Jacobs, ( Angela) of Blythewood, SC, and one daughter, Veronica Jacklin Draft, (Elder Mitchell) of Columbia, SC, and a brother, James Kershaw of Columbia, SC, and a sister, Geraldine Rhone of Columbia, SC, and sister-in-laws Vivian Dukes of Columbia, SC, and Janie Hinton, Columbia, SC, and brother in-laws Elder Ernest Gridine and Minister, Andrew Washington, (Betty) of Columbia, SC, and grandchildren and great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Mr. Jacobs was preceded by his sister Margie Holmes and brothers, Thomas Bookert, and Peter Jacobs, and John Jacobs.
