Funeral services for Mr. George Vance Nelson Jr. of Lexington, will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday at Calvary Holiness Church of God 1635 Middle Street Cayce, South Carolina with burial will follow in the Church Cemetery in Springfield, South Carolina; A viewing will be held from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm Friday at Pearson's Funeral Home-Chapel. Mr. Nelson will be place in church one hour before services. Born in Cayce, South Carolina the son of the late George Vance Nelson Sr. and Lillie Mae Thomas -Nelson. He was educated at the Lake View High School in West Columbia, South Carolina. surviving are his wife, Rose Marie Livingston Nelson of Columbia, South Carolina; one daughter, Diane M. Brookins of Conyers, Georgia; four son's, William Darnell Nelson of Columbia, South Carolina; Phillips Goins of Ballentine, South Carolina; Christopher and Theodore Bonds of Georgetown and one brother, John (Willie Mae) Nelson of Georgia; five sisters, Floratine (Edwards) Jackson of Georgia; Joyce Nelson of Columbia, South Carolina; Sandra Parks of Columbia, South Carolina; Marilyn (Daniel) Johnson of West Columbia, South Carolina and Varnelle (Dennis) McCloud of Columbia, South Carolina.And three grandson's and two granddaughters and five great grandchildren and a host of other relative and friends.
