Funeral services for Mrs. Eveline Major Rivers, 74, of Columbia, South Carolina will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2022 11:00 am at Calvary Holiness Church 1635 Middle Street Cayce, South Carolina with burial to follow at the Calvary Holiness Church Cemetery in Springfield, South Carolina. There will be a viewing held on Friday from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at  Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. Born in Richland County the daughter of the late Joseph Robert Major and Anna Leysath Major on May 02, 1948. She was a member of the Calvary Holiness Church and in the Missionary Society for many years. She was a weaver at a Textile Company for many years. She is survived by her loving daughters, Ledell Rivers and Annie Ruth Rivers both Columbia, SC; and one grandchild, Brandon Jiantay Rivers of Columbia, SC; and four brothers, Herbert (Geneva) Leysath, and Joseph (Tammy) S. Major, Jr, and Frank (Angela) Major, and Walter Dukes, Jr., all of Columbia, SC; and five sisters, Dorethea (Robert) Williams, and Lillie Mae Pringle, and Janie R. Major, and Pearline Major-Knight, and Naomi Major all of Columbia, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
