Ella Marion Burkett

Memorial services for Mrs. Ella Marion Burkett, 67, of Columbia, South Carolina. Will be held on Monday at 12:00 noon October 25, 2021, at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival Road Columbia, South Carolina. She was born in Richland County, South Carolina on September 18, 1954. She was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Martin and Lorene Mobley. She departed this life on October 10, 2021 at her home in Columbia, South Carolina. Mrs. Burkett grew up in Columbia, and graduated high school in Daleville, Alabama. She was a very hard worker, enjoyed the company of neighbors, friends, and family and was known to be generous and full of energy. Mrs. Burkett was predeceased in death by her parents, three children - Larry Videl Burkett, Charmaine Kristie Burkett, and Larry Roderick Burkett; three brothers, Donald Martin, Leon Matthew Brooks, Ronnie Martin, and one sister: Sherrie Jones.  she is survived by her husband Larry James Burkett , and one daughter, T. LaShay Alexander (step-daughter),. five sisters, Patricia Pickens, Phyllis Brown (Calvin), Treneace Hearns (Lorenzo), Fealicia Cradle, Rosa Lee Boughknight, and two brothers, John Brooks, and Willie B. Martin, and a host of uncles,aunts,cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
