Edward Emanuel Windham

Funeral services for Mr. Edward Emanuel Windham, 61, will be held on Thursday 10:30 am at the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Caroline with burial to follow at the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival Road Columbia, South Carolina and there will be a viewing on Wednesday from 1:00 to 7:00 pm at Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, SC. He was born the son to the late Mattie Windham Davis and Walter Ivory Windham and Geneva Brown Windham on June 27, 1961. He departed this life on Wednesday morning, December 21, 2022. "Mickey" as he was affectionately called attended the public schools of Florence County. Upon graduation from South Florence High School, he enlisted in the US Army and served his country until he was honorable discharged. After his military career, Edward became a self-employed truck driver, worked as a driver for Greyhound Bus Line and supervisor over Central Midlands Transitional Retreat. The Illustrious Edward Windham 33, he was in the Eureka Lodge No. 1, Worshipful Master 2018, Joshua Royal Arch Chapter No. 1 High Prince 2019, Ezar Consistory No. 1, 2and Lieutenant 2020, Deputy Grand Master 2021, Meridian Supreme Council, Thirty third Degree 2022, Barack Temple No. 8, Grand Pontentate 2022.. Edward was preceded in death by a son, Jamele Windham; Uncles Walter Windham Jr. and Archie Windham; Aunts, Maggie Lewis, and Cora Windham. Those left to cherish his memories include: one son Keenen Windham of Florence, SC; one grandson Jaymel Windham of Florence, SC; seven brothers, and sisters, Ossie Davis, Betty Davis Scott (Gary), Pamela Davis, Clyde Davis (Carmen) Jermaine Davis, Arkisha Davis, Josephine Hall (Julius) all of New York; Stepfather: Giotis Davis of New York; Aunts, Betty Jean Proctor, Marjorie Windham of New York, Genevieve Windham and Annie Bell Windham of Florence, SC; special friend: Frank Green of Augusta, Ga; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
