Earl Jackson Shuler

It is with great sadness that the Shuler Family announces the passing of EJ Shuler at the age of 81. EJ was born in Robbinsville, NC, married Joyce Shuler (nee Coy) in 1963 and within a few years they settled in Columbia, SC. He was a devoted husband and father, a parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus, an award- winning rifleman, and an entrepreneur. EJ is survived by his sons Wayne Shuler (Carla) and Chris Shuler, his grandchildren Cara McKay (Alex), Laura Shuler, Samantha Shuler, and Jack Shuler and his brother Ray, step brother Richard step sisters Frankie, Terri, Betty and Linda. He was preceded by his wife of 57 years, his father Frank, his mother Rebecca, his brother Claud, and his step brother Eddie. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in EJ's name to the Heart of Hospice Foundation at https://lhcgroup.com/foundation/    Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 2:00 PM at Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, SC. 29203  With a graveside service to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
