Service for Mrs. Conserverina "Connie"  Smith, 70, of Columbia, South Carolina .Will be held on May 21, 2026 Thursday, 11:00 am in the Brookland Baptist Church 1066 Sunset Blvd. West Columbia, South Carolina  Burial will be at Prodigal AME Zion Church Cemetery in Swansea, South Carolina, She will lye in state at the church one hour before service and  the viewing will be held on Wednesday, from 1:00 to 6:00 pm in the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina. Ms. Smith was the daughter of the late Mack Frederick and Lila Mae Amaker Frederick on March 07 1956. Ms. Smith was a Nurse with the Pruitt Health when she retired. She was a member of the Brookland Baptist Church West Columbia, South Carolina.  She was a Auxiliary for the V.F.W. She was survived by her loving family her daughters, Pleshette Amaker of Columbia, SC; Valerie Reynolds of Olive Branch, Miss; Son, Alex Govan Plainfield, IL; and nine grandchildren, Tre'Von M. Amaker,  Anyla N. Jackson, Indya N. Jackson, Kordell J. Reynolds, Terrence L. Martin Devin J. Martin, Terron S. Govan, Alexia C. Govan and Isaiah A. Govan, brother, Mack Frederick Jr. of Columbia, SC; sister, Wanda Rand of Columbia, SC; and a host of niece, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
