Funeral services for Ms. Carolyn Hutchinson 59, of Columbia, South Carolina will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Pearson's Funeral Home-Chapel 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, SC, Burial will follow at the Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery 11121 Monticello Rd. Columbia, SC; There will be a viewing from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Pearson's Funeral Home. She was the beloved daughter to the late Charlie Lee Hutchinson and Mary Anderson Hutchinson on November 07, 1961. Carolyn was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the Prisma Health Baptist Hospital in Columbia, SC. Carolyn attended the public schools of Richland County District One. She graduated class of 1982 at Columbia High School. She also attended school at Columbia Junior College. Carolyn worked in housekeeping at the University of South Carolina. She received Christ and was a member of the Zion Pilgrim Baptist Church. "Cal" as she was affectionately called by family and friends, enjoyed cooking, eating, joking, socializing with friends, listening to gospel music, and fellowship with her family. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Though she is no longer physically with us, her loving and kind spirit will forever lived in the hearts and lives of all those she so lovingly touched. Those who will forever cherish her fond and precious memories are her loving son, Curtis "Curt" Bouknight; tw loving grandchildren, Jontayis Bouknight and Brookelinn Bouknight; two lovin sisters, Barbara Savage and Mary Barbara; three loving brothers, Charles (Annie) Hutchinson, Kenneth Hutchinson, and Marvin (Patricia) Hutchinson all of Columbia, SC; four loving aunts, Lelia Bright, Shambra Saxon, Diane Owens, Anne May Anderson; one loving uncle, Ezell Hutchinson, a host of nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and caring friends, all whom join the family in sharing the grief caused by her untimely departure, but rejoice that she is now resting with the lord.
