Benjamin Calhoun

Funeral services for Mr. Benjamin Calhoun 55,  of 2842 Tree Street Cayce, SC will be held on Thursday September 3, 2020 at 12:00 noon in the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main St. Columbia, SC with burial to follow in the Ft. Jackson National Cemetery 4170 Percival road Columbia, SC there will be a viewing on Wednesday September 2, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm at he Pearson's Funeral Home. Born in Columbia, SC the son of the late Bennie and Sarah Calhoun Jr., Benjamin, known as "Bimp" became a member of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He held numerous jobs throughout his life. Bimp served six years in the US Army, where he was a sharp shooter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his precious memories are his children, Benquan Calhoun , Antuan Calhoun and Channing Calhoun all of Cayce, SC, grandchildren, Tamiah Miller, Cameron Calhoun, Janyla Calhoun, Bryce Calhoun and a baby girl on the way; mother of his son's, Kimberly Thomas of Cayce, SC, and his sisters, Betty (Simon) Bazemore of Brooklyn, New York, Juanita Hagler of Columbia, SC and Donjneen (James) Sutton of Swansea, SC. and a brother, Curtis (Audrey) Calhoun of Cayce, SC; a aunt, Isola Calhoun of Columbia, SC. and a host of other niece, nephews and cousins and friends.
