Alonzo Way

Service for Mr. Alonzo Way, 72, of Gaston, South Carolina will be held on Wednesday,  November 5, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Saint James Baptist Church 139 Saint James Ave West Columbia, South Carolina. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, 1:00 to 6:00 pm in the Pearson's Funeral Home 4508 N. Main Street Columbia, South Carolina, and burial to follow in the St. James Baptist Church Cemetery on Princeton Road, West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born in Lexington County the son of the late James Way and Sarah Mae Green on June 14, 1953. Mr. Way was a truck driver for many years. He is survived by his loving family, sons, Alonzo T.(Hillary)  Zeigler of Camby, Indiana; Korey Way of Cayce, SC; daughter, Yolanda M. (Calvin) Chatman of West Columbia, SC; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren, and one sister, Bertha (Anthony) Coley of West Columbia, SC. a host of nieces nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.
